Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Network NOC Engineer – Core to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the organization's core network infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum network uptime, resolving incidents, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and supporting 24x7 network operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the health and performance of core network infrastructure on a 24x7 basis.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents related to routers, switches, firewalls, and transmission equipment.
- Escalate critical issues to L2/L3 support teams and vendors as per the escalation matrix.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and prepare incident reports.
- Monitor alarms using NMS tools and take immediate corrective actions.
- Coordinate with field engineers and service providers during outages and maintenance activities.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs for incident response and resolution.
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled network health checks.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, network changes, and configurations.
- Support planned network upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPN, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, and routing/switching concepts.
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, or similar.
- Basic understanding of firewalls, load balancers, and network security.
- Familiarity with incident management and ticketing tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent are preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years: Experience in Core Network Operations, Network Monitoring, or Telecom NOC.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ISP or Telecom Core Networks.
- Knowledge of MPLS, DWDM, SD-WAN, or Metro Ethernet.
- Familiarity with Linux and basic scripting is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
