The Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining and repairing buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure they are in optimal working condition. This position involves a variety of tasks including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repair of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and general upkeep of the facility to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
- General Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and repairs of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various systems such as electrical circuits, plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and machinery.
- Preventative Maintenance: Carry out regular inspections of equipment and systems to prevent breakdowns, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all work adheres to safety standards and building codes. Maintain safety procedures and report hazards or safety violations to the supervisor.
- Cleaning & Upkeep: Keep facilities clean and organized by performing janitorial duties, including cleaning common areas, disposing of waste, and ensuring proper sanitation of workspaces.
- Equipment Management: Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, perform inventory checks on supplies, and order materials as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and time management
