Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Medical Inventory Management
- Ensure timely procurement, storage, and dispensing of medicines and medical consumables.
- Monitor stock levels of prescription drugs, OTC medicines, surgical items, and medical supplies.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines, including temperature-sensitive products.
- Monitor expiry dates and coordinate timely stock rotation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and NABH standards.
Non-Medical Inventory Management
- Supervise inventory of non-medical items such as stationery, housekeeping supplies, PPE, packaging materials, and other consumables.
- Maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams for timely replenishment.
Team Leadership & Operations
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and store personnel.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and allocate responsibilities.
- Train and mentor team members on SOPs, inventory management, and customer service.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback.
Inventory & Store Management
- Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification.
- Maintain inventory records and ensure accurate system entries.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with purchase, accounts, and clinical departments for inventory requirements.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain pharmacy licenses and statutory records.
- Ensure adherence to drug control regulations and hospital policies.
- Prepare reports related to stock consumption, expiry, slow-moving items, and inventory variance.
- Support internal and external audits.
Coordination & Customer Service
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, procurement, and other departments.
- Resolve inventory-related issues promptly.
- Ensure efficient service delivery to patients and hospital departments.
