Job Summary:
The Cardiologist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with heart and cardiovascular conditions. The role involves providing both outpatient and inpatient cardiac care, interpreting diagnostic tests, handling cardiac emergencies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities1. Patient Care & Clinical Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiovascular diseases and disorders.
- Manage OPD and IPD cardiac patients efficiently.
- Evaluate patients presenting with chest pain, hypertension, arrhythmias, heart failure, and other cardiac conditions.
- Provide emergency cardiac care and stabilization when required.
- Develop individualized treatment and medication plans.
2. Diagnostic & Interventional Procedures
- Interpret ECG, 2D Echo, TMT, Holter Monitoring, and other cardiac investigations.
- Recommend and monitor diagnostic procedures related to cardiology.
- Assist or perform cardiac interventions as per specialization and hospital setup.
- Coordinate with Cath Lab and critical care teams for advanced cardiac procedures.
3. Inpatient & ICU Management
- Conduct regular rounds in wards, ICU, and CCU.
- Monitor critically ill cardiac patients.
- Coordinate with intensivists, physicians, and surgeons for comprehensive care.
4. Preventive Cardiology & Patient Education
- Educate patients regarding lifestyle modifications, preventive cardiology, diet, and medication adherence.
- Promote preventive cardiac health awareness programs.
5. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, NABH standards, and ethical medical practices.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
6. Coordination & Teamwork
- Work closely with nursing staff, technicians, emergency teams, and other departments.
- Support hospital clinical programs and academic activities when required.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine.
- DM/DNB in Cardiology.
- Valid Medical Council Registration.
Experience
- Minimum 1–5 years of experience in cardiology practice preferred.
- Experience in handling cardiac emergencies and critical care patients preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in cardiology.
- Excellent patient management and communication abilities.
- Ability to handle emergency and critical cardiac cases.
- Good teamwork and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and hospital protocols.
Working Conditions
- Full-time hospital-based role.
- Rotational duties, emergency calls, and ICU coverage may be required.
- Availability for emergency consultations and critical care management.

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹1,065,594.90 per month
