- Provide strategic direction for the academic growth and development of the institution.
- Ensure effective implementation of the curriculum prescribed by the affiliating university and regulatory authorities.
- Promote excellence in teaching, learning, research, innovation, and student development.
- Monitor academic performance, learning outcomes, and quality standards across all programs.
2. Institutional Administration
- Oversee the overall administration and functioning of the college.
- Develop and implement institutional policies, procedures, and operational plans.
- Ensure compliance with university regulations, government norms, accreditation requirements, and statutory bodies.
- Coordinate with management, governing bodies, and regulatory agencies on institutional matters.
3. Faculty Management and Development
- Lead recruitment, selection, induction, and retention of qualified faculty and staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide guidance for professional development.
- Encourage faculty participation in research, publications, conferences, FDPs, and consultancy activities.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
4. Student Development and Welfare
- Ensure a conducive academic environment for holistic student development.
- Monitor student discipline, attendance, academic progress, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
- Support student clubs, co-curricular activities, entrepreneurship initiatives, and leadership development programs.
- Promote mentoring, counseling, and career guidance services.
5. Quality Assurance and Accreditation
- Lead quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement processes.
- Guide preparation for accreditation and ranking exercises such as NAAC, NBA, NIRF, and other quality frameworks.
- Monitor implementation of IQAC initiatives and academic audits.
- Ensure maintenance of institutional records, reports, and documentation.
6. Industry Interface and Placement Support
- Strengthen industry-academia partnerships for internships, live projects, guest lectures, and placements.
- Develop collaborations with corporate organizations, professional bodies, and academic institutions.
- Support placement and training activities to enhance student employability.
- Encourage entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup initiatives among students.
7. Financial and Resource Management
- Assist management in budgeting, resource allocation, and financial planning.
- Ensure optimal utilization of institutional infrastructure, laboratories, library, and technology resources.
- Monitor procurement, maintenance, and development of facilities.
8. Research, Innovation, and Consultancy
- Promote research culture among faculty and students.
- Encourage funded research projects, consultancy assignments, patents, and publications.
- Facilitate innovation, incubation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
9. Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Maintain effective communication with students, parents, alumni, industry representatives, and regulatory authorities.
- Represent the institution at academic, professional, and public forums.
- Strengthen alumni engagement and institutional branding activities.
10. Strategic Planning and Institutional Growth
- Formulate and implement short-term and long-term strategic plans.
- Identify opportunities for introducing new programs, certifications, and value-added courses.
- Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing institutional reputation, enrollment, academic quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Ensure achievement of the institution's vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
