About the Role
ResQBag is on a mission to reduce food waste by connecting surplus food from restaurants and vendors with everyday consumers. We're looking for a Marketing Intern who can think like a strategist and create like a storyteller — someone who can turn our impact into campaigns that stop the scroll.
This role is built for someone who understands consumer psychology and knows how to translate a brand's purpose into content people actually want to engage with. You'll be at the center of how ResQBag shows up on social media — what we stand for, what we're building, and the change we're driving one saved meal at a time.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategize and design social media marketing campaigns to build awareness for ResQBag's mission and offerings
- Develop content calendars and campaign timelines aligned with brand goals and key moments
- Translate ResQBag's impact (food saved, vendors onboarded, community reach) into compelling, shareable stories
- Apply consumer psychology principles to craft messaging that drives engagement, trust, and action
- Collaborate with the design and content team to bring campaign ideas to life across formats (reels, carousels, stories, community posts)
- Track campaign performance metrics and translate data into insights for future strategy
- Research market trends, competitor activity, and audience behavior to keep campaigns fresh and relevant
- Support brand positioning efforts to consistently communicate ResQBag's story and values across channels
- Brainstorm and pitch new campaign concepts in weekly team syncs
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business, or a related field
- Prior coursework, project work, or internship experience in marketing or social media is a plus (not mandatory)
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals and campaign strategy
- Working knowledge of consumer psychology and what drives engagement/behavior
- Sharp sense of social media trends, formats, and platform-specific best practices
- Excellent written communication and storytelling ability
- Creative thinker who can generate original campaign ideas, not just execute briefs
- Analytical mindset — comfortable reviewing performance data to refine strategy
- Self-driven and comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Instagram/Meta analytics or basic social media scheduling tools
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, Figma, Adobe and Meta Suit
- Interest in sustainability, social impact, or the food-tech space
