We're looking for a passionate Chess Curriculum Developer to build a world-class chess program from the ground up.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves chess, education, and curriculum design.
You will own the complete development of our Chess curriculum while working closely with the
Head of Product. From designing lessons and assessments to testing the curriculum with students and building a team of educators, you'll play a key role in launching and scaling our Chess program globally.

Key Responsibilities
- Design a structured, age-appropriate Chess curriculum for children aged 5–16 years
- Create engaging lesson plans, worksheets, practice activities, puzzles, and assessments
- Coach the first batch of students to validate and improve the curriculum through real classroom feedback
- Develop tournament formats, grading rubrics, and learning milestones
- Recruit, train, and mentor Chess educators
- Enable educators to deliver high-quality classes while supporting parent engagement and student retention
- Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI assistants to accelerate curriculum development and content creation
- Continuously improve the curriculum based on student outcomes and feedback
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of Chess fundamentals, tactics, and strategy
- Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or teaching children
- Passion for creating engaging learning experiences for kids
- Comfortable using AI tools for content generation and productivity
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to take ownership and build a program from scratch
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Sports, Psychology, or a related field
- Chess coaching certification is a plus
- FIDE rating or competitive tournament experience is an added advantage
