Job Title: Sr Executive - Accounts and Finance - Mumbai
The role is responsible for handling General Ledger accounting activities, month-end closing, statutory and internal audit support, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The position requires hands-on accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on routine and closure-related activities.
Job Responsibility
- Ensure smooth and effective operation of all general accounting functions in SAP including Accounts Payable, Cost and General Ledger accounting.
- Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements.
- Ensure applicable taxes related to payables are accounted for and paid on time.
- Actual results compared to budgets monthly.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for distribution to shareholders.
- Develop and constantly monitor the effectiveness of accounting policies and procedures and controls making changes as necessary.
- Overall responsibility for coordination of all internal and external audits and preparation of tax filings.
- Periodic Balance reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Weekly MIS and bank reconciliation
AUDIT SUPPORT
- Provide support for statutory audits of standalone entities and consolidation.
- Support bank audits and Transfer Pricing audits, including data preparation and reconciliations.
TAX FILING
- Provide support for Data submission to consultants for various entities tax filing.
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns.
REPORTS & ANALYSIS
- Review and track revenue reports.
- Review and track inventory ageing and inventory movement reports.
- Track and analyze cash and bank balances and update trackers on a regular basis.Key Skills:Mandatory:
- SAP software experience is must
- Exporsure into General Ledeger accouting, month-end closing.
- Excellent knowledge of SAP is required.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work with multiple entities and meet timelines.
