Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a proven track record in B2B industrial sales, with the drive to build long-term client relationships and grow business across Pune and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in industrial, manufacturing, and automation segments
- Manage and grow existing client accounts across sectors such as automotive, heavy engineering, and process industries
- Understand customer technical requirements and propose suitable product/automation solutions
- Coordinate with principals and OEMs for product demos, quotations, and order fulfillment
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Prepare and submit accurate sales reports, visit reports, and forecasts
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings as required
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
- A diploma in Mechanical Engineering with strong, demonstrated sales experience may be considered
Experience
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in industrial / technical sales
- Prior exposure to products such as pneumatics, hydraulics, instrumentation, automation components, or industrial equipment is a strong advantage
Personal Requirements
- Married (preferred for stability and long-term commitment)
- Must reside in or near the Pimpri-Chinchwad area, Pune — or willing to relocate immediately
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and datasheets
- Self-motivated with a target-driven attitude
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Valid two-wheeler / four-wheeler driving license preferred
- Fluency in Marathi, Hindi, and English
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (Part Modeling, Assembly, Sheet Metal, Weldments, Drawings)
- Experience in Machine Design
- Knowledge of SPM (Special Purpose Machine) design
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, sheet metal)
- Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Ability to prepare BOM (Bill of Materials)
- Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles
