Job Description – Data Onboarding Specialist
Position: Data Onboarding Specialist
Experience: 0–2 years (Freshers can apply)
Location: Borivali West, Mumbai
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and numbers-driven Data Onboarding Specialist to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for onboarding clients’ investment and portfolio data into our portfolio accounting platform – collecting, mapping, cleaning, reconciling and importing data from brokers, depositories, AMCs and banks while ensuring every portfolio is accurate, complete and report-ready. You will act as the bridge between raw client data and a clean, tallied portfolio inside iRecord.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboard clients’ investment data – equities, mutual funds, bonds, F&O and other instruments – into the iRecord platform.
- Collect and organise source documents such as broker contract notes, CDSL/NSDL demat statements, AMC/CAMS-KFinTech statements, ledgers and bank statements.
- Map, clean and standardise data received in multiple broker and depository formats into the required import templates.
- Reconcile holdings, transactions and corporate actions so that opening balances, buys/sells, charges and realised/unrealised gains tie out correctly.
- Verify onboarded data for accuracy, completeness and consistency before it is handed over to the client or relationship team.
- Coordinate with clients, relationship managers and internal teams to resolve missing, mismatched or incorrect information.
- Maintain proper records and documentation of all onboarding activities and data sources.
- Follow standard operating procedures and agreed timelines (TATs) for data onboarding.
- Perform regular data-quality checks and periodic audits of onboarded portfolios.
- Handle confidential financial and client data responsibly and securely.
- Prepare basic reports and provide updates on onboarding status and pending items.
- Support the team with other data-related and administrative activities as required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Graduate in any discipline; a background in Commerce/Finance (B.Com, BAF, BBI, BFM, etc.) is preferred.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data cleaning) and basic computer applications.
- Good typing and data-entry speed with a high level of accuracy.
- Familiarity with capital-market instruments and investment terminology (contract notes, demat statements, capital gains, corporate actions) will be a strong advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and a natural comfort working with numbers and financial data.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new software and processes.
- Basic knowledge of data management or portfolio/investment accounting will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
