Position: School Bus Maintenance Advisor

Amrita Vidyalayam is looking for a responsible and experienced professional to manage the school's transportation operations, bus maintenance, and fleet management activities. The ideal candidate should ensure the safe, efficient, and timely operation of the school's transport services while maintaining all school vehicles in excellent working condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school transport system.
Manage the maintenance and servicing schedule of all school buses and vehicles.
Coordinate repairs, inspections, permits, and fitness certificates.
Ensure all buses comply with safety standards and government transport regulations.
Supervise and coordinate the work of bus drivers and transport support staff.
Monitor vehicle performance, fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance records.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure buses are clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained.
Handle transport-related emergencies and resolve operational issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle documentation, service history, and transport expenses.
Liaise with service centers, vendors, and transport authorities as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Experience in transport operations, fleet management, or vehicle maintenance.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures, transport regulations, and fleet management practices.
Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in maintaining transport records and preparing reports.
Good communication and leadership skills.
Ability to travel frequently between school campuses.
