Basic Skills Requirements
- Plastic Coating for ABS,PP,PC,etc.... in PU&Acrylic system
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Team-oriented and quality-focused approach.
Testing & Quality Validation
- Perform lab testing as per IS / ASTM / ISO standards.
- Test for film properties:
- Gloss, opacity, adhesion, flexibility, impact resistance, hardness, corrosion resistance.
- Record and analyze performance of coatings under different environmental conditions.
- Support QA/QC team during production scale-up and batch validation.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of all lab experiments, trials, and formulations.
- Prepare R&D reports, formulation sheets.
- Coordination & Support
- Collaborate with Production, QA/QC, and teams for material selection and batch trials.
- Provide technical support to sales / marketing for customer-specific product development.
- Innovation & Process Improvement
- Explore new raw materials, resins, and pigments for better performance and cost efficiency.
- Evaluate new supplier samples and maintain technical evaluation reports.
- Stay updated with latest coating technologies and trends.Paint Formulation & Development Skills
- Formulation of industrial coatings — epoxy, PU, alkyd, enamel, primer, stoving, synthetic, and water-based paints
- Shade development and color matching using Spectrophotometer / Tintometer
- Knowledge of resin chemistry (epoxy, polyester, acrylic, alkyd, PU)
- Understanding solvent selection (aromatic, aliphatic, alcohol, ester, ketone systems)
- Pigment dispersion, wetting, and stabilization techniques
- Optimization of Drier / Additive combinations for improved performance
- Rheology modification and viscosity control
- Film formation and cross-linking behavior understanding
