Job Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Production Engineering Manager to lead our production engineering and cutlist team in a modular furniture manufacturing setup. The candidate will be responsible for converting design outputs into production-ready formats and ensuring smooth coordination between design, CNC, and factory production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the production engineering team including 10–12 design engineers and cutlist makers
- Convert approved design drawings into accurate production drawings and cutlists
- Prepare and review BOM (Bill of Materials) for modular kitchen, wardrobe, and furniture products
- Ensure accurate CNC data preparation and machine-ready files
- Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and factory teams for smooth workflow
- Optimize material usage and reduce wastage through proper planning and nesting
- Ensure design feasibility for manufacturing and resolve technical issues before production
- Standardize production processes and maintain quality control at engineering stage
- Monitor project timelines from design release to production execution
- Train and guide junior engineers and cutlist team members
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in modular furniture or interior manufacturing industry
- Strong experience in production drawings, cutlists, and BOM preparation
- Hands-on knowledge of CNC programming or CNC data preparation
- Deep understanding of modular kitchen, wardrobe, and panel furniture manufacturing
- Experience in handling engineering or production design teams
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design tools (reading + production usage)
- Knowledge of optimization software is an added advantage (Cutlist / OptiCut / IMOS / TopSolid etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and team leadership skills
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Worked in modular kitchen / wardrobe manufacturing companies
- Experience as Production Engineer, Technical Manager, Cutlist Manager, or Design Engineering Lead
- Ability to handle fast-paced factory environment
- Strong understanding of production workflow and factory execution
Role Importance
This role is a key position between design and production. The person will ensure that every design is accurately converted into production-ready output with minimum errors, maximum efficiency, and smooth factory execution.
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
