Job Description
The Trainee Underwriter will work under the guidance of senior underwriters and team leaders to evaluate insurance applications, apply underwriting guidelines, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- Review insurance applications and supporting documents.
- Apply underwriting guidelines to assist in risk assessment.
- Coordinate with senior underwriters for case discussions and escalations.
- Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in audits, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
Qualification
- Any graduate (Commerce, Finance, Insurance preferred but not mandatory).
Required / Preferred Skills
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of insurance/finance terminology
Pay: ₹221,000.00 - ₹228,672.00 per year
