Job Title: RO Technician
Department: Installation & Technical Service
Reports To: Service Supervisor / Team Lead
Job Summary
Responsible for on-site installation, servicing, and maintenance of RO machines, under-sink RO units, bottling
plants, and workplace water purification systems, ensuring quality installation and timely closure of service tickets
through the company app.
Key Responsibilities
- Install RO machines (standard and under-sink models) at residential and commercial sites per technical
guidelines
- Install and commission bottling plants and workplace/commercial purification systems
- Perform plumbing and electrical connections required for installation (inlet/outlet lines, pump wiring, tank
fittings)
- Test installed systems for leaks, pressure, flow rate, and water quality before handover
- Diagnose and repair faults in RO systems, purifiers, and bottling equipment (membranes, pumps, filters,
UV/UF units, tanks)
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing visits
- Close every job via the company's dedicated app by accurately filling out the FSR (Field Service Report)
— including work done, parts used, customer signature, and photos where required
- Maintain and account for spare parts/tools issued for each job
- Explain product usage, maintenance tips, and AMC plans to customers
- Strictly adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and safety protocols during installation and service visits
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to the supervisor/technical team promptly
Skills & Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics (or equivalent technical training)
- 1–3 years' experience in RO/water purifier installation and service; experience with bottling plants or
commercial purification systems preferred
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical wiring, and RO/UV/UF purification technology
- Comfortable using a smartphone/app for job assignment, FSR filling, and ticket closure
- Good communication and customer-handling skills
Other Requirements
- Must own a two-wheeler with a valid driving license (mandatory, for travel to installation/service sites)
- Physical ability to lift and install equipment, including bottling plant components
- Punctual and disciplined in following company policy, uniform/ID protocols, and reporting timelines
- Basic documentation skills for accurate FSR entrie
