A Media Ad Sales Manager drives revenue by selling advertising space, sponsorships, and digital or print media solutions to brands and agencies. They lead sales teams, manage client relationships, and negotiate contracts to maximize profitability and meet or exceed revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Generation: Sell advertising inventory across print, digital, and broadcast media to brands and agencies.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of media sales executives.
- Client Relations: Establish and maintain high-level relationships with key marketing decision-makers and ad agencies.
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute strategic ad sales plans and promotional campaigns.
- Pipeline Management: Build a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools and provide reliable revenue forecasts.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze sales data and campaign metrics to optimize ad placement and prove Return on Investment (ROI) to clients.
Essential Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or Communications.
- Experience: 4 to 8 years in media sales, with prior supervisory or team management experience.
- Media Knowledge: Deep understanding of the media landscape, including programmatic ads, social media, and content sponsorships.
- Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to translate audience data and market research into compelling sales pitches.
KPIs & Metrics
- Total Advertising Revenue: Gross ad sales generated vs. monthly or quarterly targets.
- New Client Acquisition: Number of new accounts onboarded per quarter.
- Client Retention: Percentage of repeat advertisers and contract renewals.
- Ad Yield: Average revenue per unit of advertising space sold.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
