Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced MEP Engineer to oversee and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for construction/project activities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all MEP installations are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works at the project/site.
Review and interpret MEP drawings, layouts, specifications, and technical documents.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and other project teams.
Ensure MEP installations are carried out as per approved drawings and project specifications.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of MEP activities.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards.
Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of MEP systems.
Identify technical issues and provide effective solutions to avoid project delays.
Prepare and maintain site reports, progress reports, inspection requests, and other project documentation.
Check material requirements, specifications, and quality before installation.
Coordinate with procurement and vendors for timely availability of MEP materials and equipment.
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Attend project meetings and provide updates on MEP progress, challenges, and requirements.
Monitor contractors/subcontractors and ensure work is completed according to schedule and quality requirements.
Assist with preparation and review of BOQs, estimates, and technical submissions where required.
Ensure proper testing, commissioning, handover, and documentation of completed MEP systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
5 - 6 years of relevant experience in MEP engineering/project execution.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Ability to read and understand MEP drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
Good knowledge of construction practices and site coordination.
Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM will be an advantage.
Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple activities and work effectively under project deadlines.
Preferred Experience
Experience in commercial buildings, residential projects, hotels, hospitals, industrial projects, or large-scale developments will be preferred.
Experience handling contractors, consultants, vendors, and site teams is desirable.
