Special Situation Advisors (SSA) is a boutique advisory firm operating in the distressed assets and special situations ecosystem, working closely with lenders, investors, ARCs, corporates and other stakeholders to facilitate transaction execution and value creation opportunities.
Role Overview
We are seeking highly motivated interns who are curious, analytical and eager to build a career in special situations, corporate finance, financial research and transaction advisory. This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world mandates and a unique opportunity to understand the distressed asset market in India.
The ideal candidate should possess strong research capabilities, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct company, industry and market research.
- Assist in analysing financial statements and business performance.
- Support transaction teams on ongoing mandates.
- Prepare research notes, presentations and reports.
- Gather and organise data from public and proprietary sources.
- Assist in preparing information memorandums, teasers and internal documents.
- Track developments in the distressed asset and NPA ecosystem.
- Support senior team members in day-to-day execution activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Eligibility
- Final-year students or recent graduates pursuing/completed BBA, BMS, B.Com, BA Economics, MBA, MMS or equivalent programmes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work under deadlines.
- Interest in corporate finance, financial research and transaction-oriented work.

Internship Details
- Location: Navi Mumbai
- Work Mode: Work from Office
- Internship Duration: 3 to 6 months

- Candidates who have completed or are currently pursuing certifications/courses in the following areas will be preferred:
- Financial Modelling & Valuation
Certifications from reputed training institutes or educational institutions will be considered an added advantage.
Additional Skills Preferred
- Understanding of three-statement financial models
- Basic valuation concepts such as DCF, comparable company analysis and precedent transactions
