Video Editor – Job Description
Position: Video Editor
Location: Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities:
- Edit videos for social media, marketing campaigns, reels, advertisements, and company requirements.
- Create engaging and high-quality video content.
- Add transitions, effects, text, music, sound effects, and animations as required.
- Edit raw footage and ensure proper audio, visuals, and timing.
- Create short-form content for Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing/creative team to understand content requirements.
- Maintain consistency with company branding and visual style.
- Complete assigned projects within the given deadlines.
- Make revisions based on feedback from the reporting manager.
- Organize and maintain video files, project files, and other media assets.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effects / DaVinci Resolve or similar editing software.
- Good knowledge of video editing, transitions, color correction, and audio editing.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and basic animation is an added advantage.
- Good sense of creativity, storytelling, and visual composition.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management and attention to detail.
Qualification & Experience:
- A degree/diploma in visual communication, multimedia, film making, design or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in video editing is preferred; freshers with a strong portfolio can also be considered.
Key Requirement:
Candidates should have a portfolio/showreel showcasing their previous video editing work.
