Role: Functional Safety and Cybersecurity Architect – ADAS
The Functional Safety and Cybersecurity Architect – Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) will be responsible for defining Functional Safety Concept and performing Functional Safety Analysis of ADAS systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, collision avoidance, automated parking etc. The role focuses on creating clarity on functional safety and providing understanding for ADAS features.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the Functional Safety Concept (FSC) and Technical Safety Concept (TSC) for ADAS Systems in compliance with ISO 26262.
- Perform and moderate safety analyses including HARA, FMEA, FTA, and DFA for MCU systems.
- Allocate safety goals and safety requirements to system, hardware, and software elements.
- Define safety mechanisms for motor control (e.g., torque monitoring, speed plausibility, inverter fault handling, safe state transitions).
- Interface with safety managers, assessors, and certification bodies during audits and assessments.
- Ensure safety requirements traceability across requirements, design, implementation, and verification.
- Define the Cybersecurity Concept and architecture for MCU platforms in alignment with ISO/SAE 21434.
- Perform Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) for motor control systems and interfaces (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, diagnostics, OTA).
- Specify cybersecurity requirements and controls, including secure boot, secure flashing, key management, authentication, and intrusion detection.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to integrate cryptographic solutions (e.g., HSM, secure enclaves).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Science Engineering.
- 2-8 years of experience in ADAS systems, other safety critical systems or embedded systems for automotive or industrial applications.
- Strong understanding of ADAS fundamentals
- Experience with real-time embedded systems and microcontroller architectures (Infineon, NXP, TI, Renesas etc.).
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR, embedded C, and real-time OS concepts.
- Proven experience with ISO 26262 Functional Safety (ASIL C/D systems).
- Familiarity with hardware-software co-design, power stage topologies, and inverter architecture.
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS).
- Good understanding of vehicle communication networks and diagnostic standards (UDS, ISO 14229).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and system-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
