Key responsibilities
- Prospect and generate leads, then qualify and convert them into customers.
- Present product features and benefits, negotiate price/terms, and close sales.
- Maintain customer accounts, resolve complaints, and ensure post‑sale satisfaction to drive repeat business.
- Record activity and prepare sales reports, and collaborate with marketing, product, and support teams.
Common skills and qualifications
- Strong communication, listening, and negotiation skills.
- Product knowledge, CRM literacy (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho), and basic data-entry/reporting skills.
- Persistence, problem-solving, and ability to meet targets; field roles often need good travel/time‑management.
- Typical education: high school diploma to bachelor’s degree; some roles prefer sales/marketing or MBA for senior positions.
