Department: Food & Beverage Service
Job Summary:
The Steward is responsible for providing excellent customer service by ensuring smooth food and beverage service, maintaining cleanliness of dining areas, and creating a pleasant dining experience for guests. The role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service
· Welcome and assist guests in a courteous and professional manner.
· Present menus and provide information about food and beverage offerings.
· Take and serve orders accurately and efficiently.
· Ensure guests' needs and requests are attended to promptly.
· Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
Food & Beverage Service
· Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
· Ensure orders are delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
· Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams for smooth service operations.
· Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
Restaurant Maintenance
· Set up tables, dining areas, and service stations before service hours.
· Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in dining and service areas.
· Clear and reset tables efficiently after guest departure.
· Ensure all service equipment and utensils are clean and properly arranged.
Operational Support
· Assist in opening and closing duties of the restaurant.
· Maintain stock levels of service items and inform supervisors of shortages.
· Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
· Support team members during peak operational hours.
Required Qualifications:
· Minimum Higher Secondary (12th Pass) or equivalent.
· Diploma or certification in Hotel Management or Food & Beverage Service is preferred.
Experience:
· 0–2 years of experience in a restaurant, café, hotel, or hospitality establishment.
· Freshers with good communication skills may also apply.
