PROJECT MANAGER
Purpose
You will be responsible for ensuring that all project milestones are met on time, within budget, and according to specified quality standards. This position requires a deep knowledge of the shipbuilding process, exceptional leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to project management.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Lead and manage projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating all phases from initial design to delivery.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, Human Resource, Technical, procurement, and accounts, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
· Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, cost estimates, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
· Oversee vendor and subcontractor relationships, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and deadlines.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, updating them on project status, changes, and potential delays.
· Monitor progress against project milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
· Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, making necessary adjustments while maintaining company’s mission.
· Ensure all projects comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company safety protocols.
· Lead project meetings, review progress, and resolve issues to ensure smooth project completion.
· Evaluate a project's successes and challenges, and identify ways to improve future projects
· Ensure quality control and commissioning.
Required Skills and Qualifications
§ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
§ Proven experience in managing complex projects or large-scale construction projects within the marine industry.
§ Strong knowledge of ship design, construction techniques, and relevant industry regulations.
§ Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
§ Proficient in project management software.
§ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present project updates to senior management and clients.
§ Understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and contract management.
§ Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
§ Familiarity with shipyard operations and logistics.
