BandLadder Pvt Ltd is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor who can edit both short-form promotional videos and long-format YouTube educational videos for our IELTS and PTE preparation brand.
We will provide a sample/reference video whose editing style we really liked. The selected editor will be expected to understand the pacing, cuts, transitions, captions, effects, sound design, graphics, and overall presentation style, then apply a similar editing approach to our footage.
This role can start on a per-video contractual basis, and depending on the editor’s quality, consistency, communication, and turnaround time, we may also discuss a full-time opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Edit short-form videos such as reels, ads, promotional videos, and social media content.
- Edit long-format YouTube videos for IELTS and PTE preparation.
- Create clean and engaging educational videos using raw class footage, explanation videos, screen recordings, and voiceovers.
- Follow the editing style of the reference/sample video provided by us.
- Add captions, transitions, zoom-ins, cuts, graphics, text highlights, sound effects, background music, and motion elements where required.
- Improve video flow, pacing, storytelling, and viewer retention.
- Edit videos suitable for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, YouTube long-format videos, and ad campaigns.
- Create basic thumbnails or thumbnail-ready frames if required.
- Make revisions based on feedback.
Long-Format YouTube Video Requirements:
- Ability to edit IELTS and PTE educational content in a clean and professional format.
- Add chapter-style sections, topic titles, key point highlights, examples, and on-screen text.
- Remove pauses, mistakes, background noise, and unnecessary gaps.
- Make the video more engaging without over-editing or distracting from the learning content.
- Maintain good audio clarity, visual consistency, and professional presentation.
- Understand how to keep long educational videos structured and easy to follow.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of both short-form and long-form video editing.
- Ability to recreate or adapt editing styles from reference videos.
- Experience with tools like Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
- Strong sense of timing, captions, music, transitions, and visual appeal.
- Basic understanding of YouTube content formatting and viewer retention.
- Ability to deliver clean, professional, and engaging edits.
- Must be open to feedback and revisions.
- Prior experience in educational, course, IELTS, PTE, edtech, or YouTube content editing will be a plus.
Selection Process:
We will share a reference video along with our footage. The editor may be asked to create a short sample edit based on that style. If we like the output, we will reach out to discuss remuneration, either on a per-video basis or for a full-time role.

Pay: ₹10,196.35 - ₹33,942.94 per month
