Staff Nurse – Job Description (Short)
Position: Staff Nurse
Department: Nursing Services
Reports To: Nursing Staff
Role Summary:
Provide quality nursing care to patients by monitoring health conditions, administering medications and treatments, assisting doctors, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients' condition and vital signs.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist doctors during examinations and procedures.
- Maintain nursing records and documentation.
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support.
- Educate patients and attendants regarding care and treatment.
- Coordinate with doctors and other hospital departments.
Qualifications:
- ANM, GNM or B.Sc. Nursing.
- Valid Nursing Council Registration.
