An industrial manager for a fastener division oversees manufacturing operations, production scheduling, and quality control for industrial hardware like bolts, nuts, and rivets. The role requires managing plant resources, optimizing cold forging and thread-rolling lines, and ensuring strict adherence to industrial safety and engineering standards
Key Responsibilities
- Production Management: Direct daily manufacturing operations, shift planning, and resource allocation to meet output targets.
- Process Optimization: Oversee specialized machinery including cold-forging presses, thread rollers, and heat-treatment lines.
- Quality Assurance: Enforce compliance with dimensional tolerances, material grades, and standards (such as ASTM or ISO/IATF).
- Tooling & Maintenance: Coordinate with tool rooms and maintenance teams to reduce downtime related to dies, punches, and carbide tooling.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, and supervise shop floor workers, engineers, and shift supervisors
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: 8 to 15 years in a manufacturing environment, with specific background in fastener production, forging, or automotive components.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with cold forging, wire drawing, tooling life cycles, and quality tools like FMEA, APQP, and PPAP.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, cross-functional communication, and data-driven problem solving
