About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Analyst to join our team and support multiple enterprise software products within the Tax & CAMA domain. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manual testing, BDD test case creation, defect management, API testing, and accessibility testing.
You will work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Release teams to ensure high-quality software delivery across web, desktop, and API-based applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Author and maintain BDD test cases using Gherkin (Given/When/Then) format.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing across multiple applications.
- Execute testing across development, QA, and staging environments.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects using Jira.
- Maintain test cases, execution results, and traceability within Aqua or similar test management tools.
- Perform API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Validate application data using PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Conduct manual accessibility testing using tools such as WAVE, NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, Section 508, and accessibility best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams during sprint planning, refinement sessions, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Create and maintain test documentation in Confluence.
- Support release readiness activities and ensure complete test coverage.
- Leverage AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Aqua AI for test case generation, exploratory testing ideas, defect analysis, and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Manual Software Testing.
- Strong experience with:
- Functional Testing
- Integration Testing
- Regression Testing
- Exploratory Testing
- Experience writing BDD/Gherkin test cases.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and test management tools such as Aqua, TestRail, Xray, Zephyr, or qTest.
- Experience testing Web Applications, Desktop Applications, and APIs.
- Working knowledge of Postman, Swagger, or similar API testing tools.
- Good SQL skills with experience using PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience performing manual accessibility testing using screen readers and accessibility tools.
- Understanding of WCAG 2.2 AA, Section 508, and accessibility compliance standards.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Aqua Test Management.
- Exposure to GovTech, Tax, Property Assessment, or Government Software products.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or Aqua AI in QA processes.
- Familiarity with VPAT documentation and accessibility audits.
- Basic understanding of test automation concepts.
