Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance professional to oversee and maintain quality standards across interior fit-out and construction projects. The role will be responsible for establishing quality benchmarks, conducting inspections, identifying defects, coordinating corrective actions, and ensuring that project execution complies with approved drawings, specifications, materials, and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures for interior fit-out projects
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and quality standards
- Inspect civil, architectural, finishing, and MEP works at various stages of execution
- Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions
- Review material samples, mock-ups, and workmanship standards before execution
- Ensure materials used at site comply with approved specifications and quality requirements
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, quality records, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, consultants, vendors, and contractors on quality-related matters
- Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure adherence to approved method statements and inspection procedures
- Conduct snagging and quality inspections prior to project handover
- Track closure of quality observations, defects, and NCRs within agreed timelines
- Assist in developing project-specific Quality Assurance / Quality Control plans and inspection checklists
- Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor compliance with applicable IS codes, project specifications, safety requirements, and relevant industry standards
- Conduct periodic quality audits and provide reports and recommendations to management
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rework, wastage, and quality-related project delays
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of construction and interior fit-out quality standards
- Good knowledge of civil, architectural, finishing, and MEP works
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and workmanship issues
- Knowledge of inspection, testing, snagging, and quality documentation processes
- Ability to interpret architectural, civil, MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with site teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control practices
- Proficiency in MS Office and preparation of quality reports and documentation
Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or a related field
- Certification in Quality Management / QA-QC is an advantage
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems is preferred
- Familiarity with relevant IS codes, construction standards, and industry best practices
- Exposure to BIM-based project environments is an advantage
Experience & Skills
- 4+ years of experience in construction, interior fit-out, architecture, or related industries
- Proven experience in QA/QC for commercial, institutional, hospitality, or large-scale interior projects
- Strong exposure to civil, architectural finishing, and MEP quality inspections
- Experience in managing NCRs, snag lists, inspections, and quality documentation
- Experience coordinating with contractors, consultants, vendors, and project teams
- Strong understanding of project quality standards and site execution practices
