You will play a key role in managing transportation operations, coordinating with multiple transport partners, monitoring dispatches, and ensuring on-time deliveries. The role also involves handling export-related operations, identifying process improvement opportunities, managing operational escalations, optimizing transportation efficiency, and contributing to overall supply chain performance.
Principal Accountabilities
- Coordinate with transporters for vehicle placement, shipment planning, and timely dispatch of goods.
- Ensure on-time delivery of materials/products as per committed timelines.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, shortages, damages, or transit-related issues.
- Handle export operations including coordination with freight forwarders, CHA agents, and shipping partners.
- Ensure timely preparation and accuracy of export documentation including invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, BL/AWB, and related statutory documents.
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, sales, and customer service teams for smooth operational execution.
- Monitor transporter and logistics partner performance while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Support transportation cost optimization and route planning initiatives.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics, dispatch, and export operation reports.
- Drive process compliance and support continuous improvement initiatives within operations.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, transportation regulations, and export compliance requirements.
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, dispatch, and export operations.
- Knowledge of export documentation, shipment processes, and coordination with freight forwarders/CHA agents.
- Good analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across teams and external vendors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple operational priorities.
- 3–7 years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, export operations, or supply chain operations preferred.
- Experience in transporter management and export shipment coordination will be an added advantage.
