Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) Engineer to join our construction team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), checking reinforcement works at site, ensuring compliance with structural drawings, monitoring steel consumption, and maintaining the highest quality standards during execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) from approved structural drawings.
- Study structural and reinforcement drawings thoroughly before preparing BBS.
- Verify reinforcement detailing including bar diameters, spacing, lap lengths, anchorage, bends, hooks, couplers, and cover requirements.
- Calculate steel quantities and prepare steel consumption reports.
- Coordinate with the site execution team, steel contractors, and planning engineers.
- Conduct reinforcement inspections before concrete pouring and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and BBS.
- Perform site quality checks for reinforcement, shuttering readiness, concrete cover, bar spacing, and reinforcement placement.
- Identify deviations and ensure corrective actions are taken before concreting.
- Prepare and maintain reinforcement inspection checklists and quality records.
- Monitor steel wastage and prepare steel reconciliation statements.
- Assist the billing and planning teams with steel quantity verification and progress measurements.
- Ensure compliance with IS Codes, project specifications, and QA/QC standards.
- Coordinate with structural consultants regarding drawing clarifications and BBS revisions.
- Maintain proper documentation of BBS revisions, inspection reports, and steel records.
- Support project planning by providing reinforcement schedules and material requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 4–15 years of experience in Bar Bending Schedule preparation and RCC building execution.
- Experience in residential and commercial building projects is mandatory.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of RCC structural drawings.
- Expertise in preparing and checking Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).
- Knowledge of IS 456, IS 2502, IS 1786, and other relevant Indian Standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in steel quantity estimation and reconciliation.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.

Salary
Salary will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and interview performance.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
