Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Draftsman Engineer to prepare detailed HVAC drawings and support the design team in developing accurate and efficient HVAC layouts. The candidate should have good knowledge of HVAC systems, drafting standards, and relevant design software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare HVAC shop drawings, layout drawings, and coordinated drawings as per project requirements.
- Prepare detailed drawings for ducting layouts, chilled water piping, refrigerant piping, equipment layouts, and installation details.
- Develop and modify AutoCAD drawings based on consultant/client comments and site requirements.
- Coordinate with HVAC design engineers, project engineers, and site teams for drawing updates and revisions.
- Prepare schematic diagrams, sections, and detailed construction drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and approved designs.
- Prepare as-built drawings after completion of projects.
- Coordinate with other MEP disciplines (Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Civil) to avoid clashes.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision records of all drawings.
- Support the estimation and project teams with technical drawings whenever required.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including VRF, DX systems, AHU, FCU, ventilation systems, ducting, and piping layouts.
- Understanding of HVAC design concepts, standards, and installation practices.
- Ability to interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks, and BIM coordination will be an added advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2–5 years of experience in HVAC drafting and MEP projects.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in commercial buildings, hospitals, industrial facilities, data centers, or residential HVAC projects.
- Experience in preparing consultant submission drawings and handling revisions.
