Position: Continental Cook
Department: Kitchen / Food Production
Location:Madurai Vishaal de Mall
Reports To: Head Chef / Sous Chef
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of Continental dishes (Italian, French, Mediterranean, etc.).
- Follow standard recipes and maintain food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Handle grilling, roasting, sautéing, frying, baking, and plating techniques.
- Ensure all mise-en-place (pre-preparation) is completed before service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Check freshness, quality, and proper storage of raw materials.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the chef for replenishment as needed.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines strictly.
- Assist in menu planning, new dish creation, and portion control.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Continental Cook / Commis Chef.
- Knowledge of Continental cuisines, sauces, and cooking methods.
- Strong understanding of kitchen tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Good time management, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Culinary diploma/certificate preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Continental cooking (restaurants, hotels, cafés, cloud kitchens, etc.)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
