Job Summary
The ITI Electrical Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical systems across the hospital, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to critical areas such as ICUs, Operation Theatres, Emergency Departments, and Laboratories. The role involves supervising maintenance staff, coordinating preventive maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems.
- Monitor and maintain HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, batteries, and electrical distribution networks.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply to all hospital departments.
- Lead and supervise electricians and maintenance technicians.
- Attend electrical emergencies and coordinate immediate corrective actions.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and equipment records.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and hospital policies.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance work.
- Monitor electrical spare parts inventory and material requirements.
Qualifications
- ITI Electrician (Mandatory)
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Electrical Supervisor License preferred (if applicable).
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance experience.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Hospital, healthcare, commercial building, or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of DG sets, UPS systems, transformers, switchgear, and electrical panels.
- Electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
- Team leadership and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and statutory compliance.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and reporting.Schedule
