We are looking for a highly strategic and execution-focused SEO Growth Manager to own and scale UrbanPro’s organic growth engine.
This role goes beyond traditional SEO. You will be responsible for driving high-intent, conversion-led organic traffic across millions of pages — ensuring that learners find the right tutor faster and with higher confidence. You should have previously led SEO at a large-scale e-commerce or marketplace platform (1M+ monthly sessions) and understand how to balance traffic growth with marketplace outcomes such as lead quality, demo bookings, and paid conversions. You will work at the intersection of product, content, and growth, shaping how UrbanPro is
discovered by learners across India and globally.
SEO Strategy & Organic Growth
- Own and drive the end-to-end SEO strategy aligned with UrbanPro’s learner acquisition and marketplace growth goals
- Identify scalable opportunities across categories, cities, and long-tail discovery journeys
- Build and execute a programmatic SEO roadmap to capture high-intent demand at scale
Technical & Product-Led SEO
- Partner with product and engineering teams to improve crawlability, indexing, site architecture, and page performance
- Drive SEO inputs into product decisions (URL structures, internal linking systems, taxonomy)
- Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve technical SEO issues (Core Web Vitals, duplicate content, indexing inefficiencies)
Content & Discovery Optimization
- Define and scale high-intent content strategy aligned with learner search behavior
- Optimize category, tutor listing, and city pages for both ranking and conversion
- Ensure alignment between search intent → landing page experience → tutor discovery
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Content, and Performance Marketing teams
- Align SEO with paid acquisition and CRO efforts to maximize overall growth efficiency
- Influence prioritization of growth initiatives using data-backed insights and
- opportunity sizing
Ideal Candidate
● 4–7 years of experience in SEO with end-to-end ownership of organic growth
● Proven track record of managing SEO for a large-scale e-commerce or marketplace
platform (1M+ monthly sessions)
● Strong expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimization, and programmatic SEO
● Deep understanding of search intent, user journeys, and conversion funnels
● Experience working closely with product and engineering teams
● Strong analytical mindset with ability to connect SEO efforts to business outcomes
(not just traffic)
Nice-to-Have Skills
● Experience in EdTech, marketplaces, or user-generated content platforms
● Exposure to AI-driven SEO workflows, content automation, or recommendation
systems
● Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO)
● Experience scaling SEO through automation and large-scale page generation
systems
