Job Summary:-
The Placement Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with corporate organizations to generate employment opportunities for students. The role involves planning and executing placement drives, coordinating recruitment activities, ensuring students are industry-ready, and achieving placement targets while maintaining long-term employer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Relations
- Develop and maintain relationships with companies, recruiters, HR professionals, and hiring managers.
- Generate new corporate tie-ups for internships and final placements.
- Schedule campus recruitment drives, walk-in interviews, and virtual hiring events.
- Build strategic partnerships with companies across various industries.
Placement Operations
- Plan and execute placement activities throughout the year.
- Coordinate interview schedules between recruiters and students.
- Manage campus recruitment drives from planning to final selection.
- Ensure smooth communication between recruiters, students, and internal departments.
- Maintain placement calendars and recruitment schedules.
Student Placement Support
- Guide students regarding career opportunities and industry expectations.
- Conduct placement orientation sessions.
- Ensure students complete profiles, resumes, and required documentation.
- Track student eligibility for placement drives.
- Monitor placement progress and provide career guidance.
Training Coordination
- Coordinate with trainers to conduct:
- Resume-building sessions
- Mock interviews
- Group discussion practice
- Aptitude preparation
- Soft skills training
- Interview readiness workshops
Employer Relationship Management
- Conduct regular follow-ups with recruiters.
- Gather employer feedback after recruitment drives.
- Resolve employer concerns promptly.
- Ensure high recruiter satisfaction.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare weekly and monthly placement reports.
- Track:
- Placement percentage
- Company visits
- Offers generated
- Student selection ratio
- Highest, average, and median salary packages
- Company-wise recruitment data
- Maintain an updated placement database and MIS.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor the placement team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor performance.
- Review placement targets and drive continuous improvement.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of new company tie-ups per month
- Number of placement drives conducted
- Student placement percentage
- Internship conversion rate
- Number of interview opportunities generated
