Job Summary
We are looking for a talented Modular Furniture Interior Designer with hands-on experience in modular furniture design, production detailing, and cutlist optimization. The ideal candidate should be capable of preparing manufacturing-ready drawings, optimized BOQs, and cutlists to ensure efficient factory production with minimal material wastage.
Key Responsibilities
Design modular furniture layouts for residential and commercial projects
Prepare detailed shop drawings for wardrobes, kitchens, TV units, beds, and storage solutions
Generate accurate BOQs and production-ready cutlists
Optimize plywood, MDF, laminates, and other materials to reduce wastage
Coordinate with production and site execution teams
Create 3D designs and client presentations
Convert design concepts into manufacturing drawings
Incorporate client and site revisions efficiently while meeting project timelines
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of modular furniture systems
Expertise in cutlist preparation and material optimization
Good understanding of plywood, laminates, hardware, and fittings
Ability to prepare detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings
Knowledge of joinery details and furniture manufacturing processes
Software Skills
- SketchUp / 3ds Max (Preferred)
- MS Excel (BOQ & Cutlist Preparation)
- Cutlist Optimization Software (CutList Plus, MaxCut, etc.)
