Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer – PHE (Public Health Engineering) with 7+ years of experience in PHE/Plumbing design consultancy. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater and plumbing systems, along with excellent multidisciplinary coordination and team-handling skills.
The candidate will be responsible for leading PHE design activities, reviewing engineering deliverables, coordinating with BIM and other MEP disciplines, and ensuring projects are delivered with high technical quality and within agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute PHE/Plumbing design for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, high-rise and other building projects.
- Design and review domestic cold and hot water supply systems, soil & waste drainage, stormwater drainage and rainwater harvesting systems.
- Perform hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, water demand calculations, pump sizing and storage tank calculations.
- Prepare and review Design Basis Reports (DBR), technical specifications, design calculations, layouts, schematics and BOQs.
- Develop and review PHE layouts, riser diagrams, schematics and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting and BIM teams to achieve integrated and clash-free designs.
- Review BIM models and coordinate with BIM Modellers for clash detection and resolution.
- Review design deliverables prepared by junior engineers and provide technical guidance and mentoring.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable NBC, IS Codes, CPHEEO guidelines, local authority requirements and relevant international standards.
- Review contractor/shop drawings, material submittals and technical documents where required.
- Participate in design coordination meetings, client discussions and technical reviews.
- Support project teams during construction and resolve design-related technical issues.
- Ensure timely completion of project deliverables while maintaining required quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering, sustainability and water-efficient design solutions.
- Manage multiple projects and coordinate deliverables according to project schedules.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in PHE/Plumbing design, preferably in an MEP consultancy environment.

Preferred Experience
Experience in UAE/Middle East projects or international MEP consultancy projects will be an added advantage.
