Job Summary:
Ensures that the processes are efficient, cost-effective and compliant with safety and quality standards. The Process Engineer collaborates cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance and engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities, troubleshoot issues, and support introduction of new technologies and products. The goal is to enhance productivity, reduce waste and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that align with the organization’s Vision, core values and strategic goals.
Role & responsibilities

Knowledge on various rubber materials like FKM, NBR, HNBR. Knowledge of their properties, handling and performance essential for successful manufacturing.

Hands-on competency in all compression molding press and other finishing operations machines – Trimming, Greasing, Roll over and Pressing.

Collaborates cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities & troubleshoot issues.

Collaborate with tool designers to ensure Manufacturing and Process feasibility of producing the molding tool and produce parts.

Provide On-Job training to Operators regarding Molding, Finishing operations – Trimming, Springing, Greasing, Pressing & Roll-over and assembly.

Resolve/Trouble shoot issues in Molding press through technical approach.

Support and actively participate in projects such as down time reduction, Cycle time optimization, safety compliance projects, material consumption and optimization projects.

Prepare trial reports, shift reports, work instructions, standard operating procedures, QMS documents and other process related documents that bring stability to production processes.

Reduce “Scrap and Rework” through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using 8D, 5 Why or Six Sigma methodologies.

Mold maintenance – inspect molds for wear, fouling etc and perform Ultrasonic cleaning.
