We are looking for a WordPress Website Executive to join our team. This role involves creating, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites using premium ready-made themes and drag-and-drop page builders.
This is NOT a software development or programming role. We primarily use WordPress Themes to build websites across various industries. The role focuses on website setup, theme customization, content updates, plugin configuration, and basic website management. No custom coding or website development experience is required.
Freshers with practical WordPress knowledge and candidates with 6 months to 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure WordPress websites.
- Install and customize premium WordPress themes.
- Build and modify website pages using drag-and-drop page builders.
- Create pages such as Home, About Us, Services, Products, Blogs, Contact, etc.
- Upload and format text, images, videos, and downloadable files.
- Configure menus, forms, sliders, galleries, widgets, and other website elements.
- Install, update, and manage WordPress plugins.
- Perform regular website updates and maintenance.
- Ensure websites are mobile-friendly and responsive.
- Perform basic on-page SEO (page titles, meta descriptions, image ALT tags, URL structure).
- Test websites before delivery and resolve minor issues.
- Coordinate with the design, content, and digital marketing teams.
- Make revisions based on client feedback.
- Manage multiple client websites simultaneously.
- Assist with website backup and restoration when required.
Required Skills
- Basic experience with WordPress website setup and management.
- Familiarity with the WordPress Dashboard.
- Ability to install and configure WordPress themes and plugins.
- Experience using page builders such as Themify, Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, or similar.
- Basic understanding of website hosting, domains, SSL, and cPanel.
- Basic knowledge of MySQL databases (such as importing/exporting databases using phpMyAdmin).
- Basic understanding of FTP or File Manager.
- Basic knowledge of website backups and restoration.
- Good understanding of responsive website layouts.
- Basic knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow project instructions and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Skills NOT Required
You do not need experience in:
- PHP development
- Custom WordPress theme development
- Plugin development
- Advanced HTML/CSS programming
- Advanced JavaScript
- Laravel, React, Node.js, or similar programming frameworks
- Advanced database programming
- Git or version control systems
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with Themify themes or similar page builders.
- Basic Canva or Photoshop knowledge for image resizing and editing.
- Familiarity with contact forms and lead generation forms.
- Experience uploading blogs, products, and website content.
- Basic understanding of Google Analytics or Search Console is an advantage.
- Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT for content formatting and website content assistance.
Education
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Diploma or certification in Web Design, Computer Applications, or IT is an added advantage.
- Practical WordPress knowledge is more important than formal qualifications.
