Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced MYP Kannada Teacher to join our academic team at OWIS, Whitefield. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Kannada language instruction, a student-centric teaching approach, and familiarity with the IB MYP philosophy and inquiry-based learning methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Kannada lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework.
- Develop students’ proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in Kannada.
- Foster inquiry-based, differentiated, and collaborative learning experiences.
- Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation through language learning.
- Design and implement formative and summative assessments in accordance with IB practices.
- Maintain accurate academic records, student portfolios, and progress reports.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into classroom instruction.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with coordinators, teachers, and parents to support student development.
- Participate actively in curriculum planning, school events, professional development programs, and IB initiatives.
- Promote the vision, mission, and values of OWIS along with the IB learner profile attributes.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Kannada or related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience, preferably in IB/MYP or international schools.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Familiarity with inquiry-based and concept-driven teaching methodologies.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning platforms.
- IB training/certification will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
