About the Role
We are looking for a skilled PCB Design Engineer with strong expertise in industry-standard EDA tools such as Allegro, Altium, and PADS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and executing PCB design projects, leading a small team, and ensuring high-quality technical outputs. This role requires excellent technical knowledge, attention to detail, and team-handling capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize PCB layouts using Allegro, Altium Designer, and PADS.
- Review all PCB design projects to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality guidelines.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior PCB designers; provide guidance and support throughout project execution.
- Conduct technical reviews, identify design issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to achieve optimal design outputs.
- Ensure DFM, DFA, and DFT considerations are implemented in all PCB designs.
- Maintain project documentation and version control for all design files.
- Manage timelines and deliverables for multiple ongoing design projects.
- Stay updated with new EDA tool features, design methodologies, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience in PCB design.
- Proficiency in Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, and Mentor PADS.
- Strong understanding of high-speed design rules, multilayer stack-ups, impedance control, and signal integrity.
- Working knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and materials.
- Proven experience in team handling and task delegation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to conduct thorough technical reviews and ensure design quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-density, high-speed, or RF design.
- Understanding of EMC/EMI design practices.
- Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-2221, IPC-7351).
- Exposure to product lifecycle management tools.
