Axiom Consulting is looking for articulate, young engineers with a passion and talent for applied engineering, mathematics to join their cross-functional design team in Bangalore.

For over a decade we have worked with Fortune 50 companies to create compelling solutions in the areas of packaging, consumer products, process automation and special purpose devices, to name a few.
As a Predictive Engineer, you will be responsible for problem understanding, solution strategy development and architecting, driving meaningful outcomes. The ability to research, develop fundamental physics and math models and help develop solutions collaborating with other designers and engineers will be critical skills you will need to bring to this job.
We’re looking for T-shaped people who balance their deep understanding of their chosen domain with broad interests and abilities that go beyond their core competencies; In addition to being great at what you do, you’ve got to be a bit of a Jack (or Jane) of all trades to enjoy working with Axiom. If you’re passionate, self-driven and like to take ownership of the work you do, you may be the one we’re looking for. This also implies a certain ‘social cowboy (or cowgirl)’ attitude- you love feeding off team energy but are quite capable of riding solo when needed. We’ve got to be able to throw you in the deep end of the pool and rely on your ability to learn and grow by asking the right questions.
Skill-wise, here’s what we’re looking for-
Someone who is a great listener and empathizes with all dimensions of the problems posed to her/him with hawk-like attention to detail
Who instinctively visualizes the solution roadmap and is able to breakdown the problem representation into fundamental physics .
And of course solve the problem using their knowledge, OpenSource / Commercial mathematical tools , Finite Element Solvers etc.,
You will be frequently required to drive these initiatives either solo or in collaboration with the other specialists in our team
Lastly, you need to be an articulate verbal and written communicator who publishes lots of technical papers
Tools-wise, you need to have-
Expert level physics Understanding. The ability to create quick, pen-and-paper solutions by way of flowcharts Free Body Diagrams ,
Expert level knowledge of Design Evaluation tools (such as Hyperworks, LSDyna/Abaqus, Ansys/Nastran , Mathlab,SciLab etc.,) is also a must
At least a working knowledge of engineering, prototyping and manufacturing techniques is a prerequisite
A formal education in engineering is desirable (in fact a degree from a reputed institute could be a good start), but we’re really looking for proven experience and expertise so don’t feel shy to apply if you’re a self-made engineer/analyst as long as you’ve got what it takes. We have two levels of open positions
Entry level position, so 1-3 years experience would be a best-fit (according to us) and Mid Level Position wherein an experience of 3- 6 Years would be best.
