Holiday Consultant – Job Description
Role purpose: Help customers plan and book holidays that match their budget, preferences, and needs, while meeting sales targets.
Key responsibilities
Advise customers on destinations, itineraries, accommodation, and travel options
Sell holiday packages, flights, transfers, insurance, and add-ons
Handle bookings, payments, and documentation (visas, passports, ATOL/ABTA compliance)
Meet or exceed sales and conversion targets
Resolve customer queries, complaints, and amendments
Stay current on destinations, travel trends, and supplier offers
Build repeat business through excellent customer service
Requirements
Experience in travel sales, retail, or customer service
Strong destination knowledge and genuine interest in travel
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Familiarity with booking systems (e.g. GDS, tour operator platforms)
Target-driven with good attention to detail
Nice to have
Personal travel experience across multiple regions
Foreign language skills
Previous experience with a tour operator or travel agency
