ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a motivated Python Developer with 1+ years of professional
experience to join our engineering team. You will design and build scalable
backend systems, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and
contribute to the technical direction of our core product. The role spans
backend API development, database design, third-party integrations, and
deployment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
BACKEND DEVELOPMENT
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Python with
FastAPI as the primary framework.
- Build production-grade RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints that power both web
and mobile front-end interfaces.
- Integrate third-party services including payment gateways, notification
platforms, and ERP systems with proper error handling and retry logic.
- Ensure all backend services meet performance, security, and reliability
standards before every production deployment.
FRONTEND COLLABORATION
- Collaborate closely with React.js front-end engineers to define API contracts,
align on data models, and ensure smooth integration between layers.
- Optionally contribute to Node.js microservices or Backend-for-Frontend (BFF)
layers where the architecture requires it.
- Participate in front-end code reviews when backend-frontend coordination is
critical for feature correctness.
DATABASE DESIGN AND OPTIMIZATION
- Design normalized and performant database schemas for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and
MongoDB with attention to indexing and referential integrity.
- Write complex SQL confidently: joins, aggregates, CTEs, window functions,
subqueries, and stored procedures.
- Identify slow queries using EXPLAIN ANALYZE, add strategic indexes, and
resolve N+1 problems generated by ORMs.
- Design MongoDB aggregation pipelines for analytics, reporting, and
document-centric data access patterns.
CODE QUALITY AND DEPLOYMENT
- Write clean, well-documented, testable code. Unit tests and integration tests
are a standard part of every feature, not optional extras.
- Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and actively contribute
to improving team development processes.
- Deploy and monitor containerized applications using Docker and CI/CD pipelines
such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Debug and resolve production issues systematically by tracing every problem
from the visible symptom to the root cause.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
