Requirements
- We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Echocardiography Technician to join our medical team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart (echocardiograms) to assist physicians in diagnosing cardiovascular conditions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, excellent patient care skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform Diagnostic Scans: Conduct high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echocardiograms, and assist with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Graduate degree or Diploma in Cardiac Technology, Echocardiography, or a related cardiovascular science field.
- Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience performing echocardiograms in a hospital, cardiology clinic, or diagnostic center.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in 2D, color Doppler, and spectral Doppler imaging; strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and pathology.

- Patient Preparation: Explain the procedure to patients, address any anxieties, position them comfortably, and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the test.
- Equipment Operation: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot cardiac ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal imaging and diagnostic accuracy.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Preliminary analysis of ultrasound images, measure cardiac chambers, valves, and blood flow, and compile comprehensive reports for review by the cardiologist or physician.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and clinic staff to coordinate patient care and discuss diagnostic findings.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace, adhere to infection control protocols, and ensure all equipment is calibrated and compliant with medical safety standards.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document patient history, procedural notes, and test results in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
