Senior Finance Executive

About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Finance Executive to support the company's finance function. The role involves financial planning, budgeting, project costing, cash flow management, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will work closely with management and cross-functional teams to ensure financial discipline, cost control, compliance, and project profitability.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Management
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans.
- Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Project Costing & Profitability
- Support project costing and profitability analysis.
- Monitor project costs and identify budget overruns.
- Ensure projects are executed within approved budgets and target margins.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Assist in managing cash flow planning and monitoring.
- Support timely collection of receivables.
- Coordinate vendor payment schedules.
- Maintain healthy working capital for ongoing and future projects.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Analyze financial performance and present insights to management.
- Ensure accuracy and transparency in financial records.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Manage timely filing of returns and regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government authorities.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness.
Contract & Commercial Management
- Review client and vendor contracts from a financial perspective.
- Identify financial risks related to payment terms, penalties, and variations.
- Support commercial negotiations and financial evaluations.
Cost Control & Expense Management
- Monitor company expenses and budget adherence.
- Analyze budget vs. actual expenditure.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Support implementation of financial controls and processes.
- Ensure financial discipline and minimize operational risks.
- Identify and address financial risks proactively.
Team Coordination
- Coordinate with Procurement, Projects, HR, and other departments.
- Support the Finance Head in managing finance and accounts activities.
- Promote financial awareness and accountability across teams.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of project costing and financial management.
- Good understanding of taxation, statutory compliance, and company laws.
- Experience in cash flow and working capital management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems.
