Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Drawbench Operator to perform cold drawing operations for tubes, pipes, or wires. The role is responsible for ensuring consistent product quality, efficient machine operation, and adherence to production targets, safety standards, and operating procedures.
Responsibilities:
· Operate and monitor drawbench machines to carry out cold drawing operations as per production plans
· Load, align, and secure raw materials, dies, mandrels, and tooling for smooth operation
· Set and adjust process parameters such as drawing speed, lubrication, alignment, and tension
· Ensure products meet specified dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish requirements
· Perform tooling setup, die changes, and alignment corrections as required
· Conduct in-process and final checks to identify defects such as cracks, scratches, seams, or deformation
· Maintain accurate production records, material usage, and process data logs
· Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
· Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and production teams to resolve operational issues
· Carry out routine machine cleaning, inspection, and basic preventive maintenance
· Report machine breakdowns, abnormal conditions, and quality deviations promptly to supervisors
Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of drawbench operations and cold drawing process
- Understanding of tooling systems (dies, mandrels, lubrication)
- Ability to follow technical instructions and SOPs accurately
- Basic understanding of inspection methods and defect identification
- Familiarity with measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges)
- Good observation, troubleshooting, and coordination skills
- Ability to work effectively in a shift-based manufacturing environment
Pay: ₹8,966.22 - ₹30,068.55 per month
