Job Title: Exotic Animal Caretaker / Animal Handler
Job Summary: We are seeking a responsible and a genuine animal-loving individual to assist in the daily care and maintenance of our exotic pets and farm animals. The candidate will be responsible for feeding, handling, monitoring, and maintaining a clean and healthy environment for the animals while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Feed animals according to prescribed feeding schedules and dietary requirements.
Provide fresh drinking water and monitor food consumption.
Handle and interact with animals safely and confidently.
Clean cages, enclosures, tanks, and animal living areas on a daily basis.
Maintain hygiene standards and ensure a healthy environment for all animals.
Observe animals for signs of illness, injury, stress, or unusual behavior and report concerns immediately.
Assist with animal enrichment activities and exercise routines where required.
Maintain animal care records, feeding logs, and health observations.
Assist visitors during animal interaction sessions when required.
Ensure all animal care equipment, feeding tools, and enclosures are properly maintained.
Follow all animal welfare, safety, and farm protocols.
Requirements:
Genuine interest in animals and wildlife.
Ability to handle animals calmly and responsibly.
Physically fit and capable of lifting feed bags, cleaning enclosures, and performing outdoor work.
Willingness to work on weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts when required.
Prior experience in animal care, farming, pet care, veterinary assistance, or wildlife handling is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to follow instructions and maintain cleanliness and discipline.
Preferred Skills:
Experience handling birds, reptiles, small mammals, fish, or other exotic animals.
Basic knowledge of animal behavior and welfare.
Good observation and communication skills.
Age : 25 to 40 yrs
Work Location: PN Farm House, Pollachi
Note: The role involves direct interaction with animals and requires a high level of responsibility, patience, cleanliness, and commitment to animal welfare.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
