Core Responsibilities
Market Development: Identify and map potential projects (residential, commercial, or industrial) within the assigned territory. This often involves tracking construction projects from the planning stage to completion.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, procurement managers, structural engineers, and facade consultants.
Technical Consulting: Provide expert advice on glass specifications—such as toughened glass, laminated glass, insulating glass units (IGU), or high-performance reflective glass—based on building requirements, energy efficiency (U-values), and safety standards.
Sales Target Achievement: Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and site visits to submitting quotations, negotiating commercial terms, and closing the order.
Dealer & Distributor Network: If applicable, support, motivate, and monitor the performance of your regional distribution network to ensure they meet regional sales quotas.
Competitive Intelligence: Keep a close watch on competitor pricing, new product launches, and shifting market trends (e.g., the rising demand for green/sustainable building materials).
Reporting & CRM: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, project pipelines, and customer feedback in a CRM system to provide management with reliable sales forecasts.
Key Skills Required
Industry Knowledge: Understanding the technical nuances of glass (e.g., light transmission, solar factor, acoustic properties, and local building codes).
Consultative Sales Approach: The ability to educate clients on why a certain type of glass adds value to their project, rather than just selling on price.
Negotiation & Closing: Proficiency in handling complex pricing discussions, credit terms, and project delivery schedules.
Communication: Ability to present technical solutions to professionals like architects or contractors.
Time Management: Organizing a busy schedule of site visits, office meetings, and travel within the assigned territory.
