Position Maintenance Supervisor

Reporting To Estate Manager
1. Job Purpose
To supervise and manage day-to-day maintenance activities at Nandanvan Estate, ensuring that the
property, guest areas, rooms, office, bungalow, facilities, and infrastructure are maintained in safe and
good working condition. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead and support the maintenance team,
coordinate external vendors, handle breakdowns and preventive maintenance, and ensure timely
completion of repair and upkeep activities.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Maintenance & Repairs
Handle and supervise plumbing, electrical, civil, and carpentry maintenance work.
Perform routine maintenance and breakdown repairs across the property.
Attend maintenance complaints and ensure timely resolution.
Carry out minor on-site repairs independently wherever possible.
Ensure guest areas, rooms, office, bungalow, and other facilities are kept in good working condition.
B. Preventive Maintenance & Property Upkeep
Assist in planning and implementing preventive maintenance schedules.
Regularly inspect buildings, equipment, utilities, guest facilities, and common areas for maintenance
requirements.
Identify potential issues early and recommend corrective action to the Estate Manager.
Maintain proper upkeep and safety of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment.
C. Vendor & Technician Coordination
Coordinate and supervise external vendors, contractors, and technicians for specialised maintenance
work.
Ensure external maintenance jobs are completed as per requirement, quality standards, and agreed
timelines.
Support the Estate Manager in obtaining quotations and coordinating local service providers when
required.
D. Materials & Local Purchases
Identify maintenance materials, spare parts, tools, and consumables required for repairs and upkeep.
Support sourcing and local purchase of required maintenance materials.
Ensure materials are used responsibly and maintain basic records of maintenance-related purchases
and usage.
E. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain basic records of maintenance complaints, repairs, preventive maintenance, vendor work,
and completed activities.
Report major breakdowns, recurring issues, material requirements, and pending maintenance work to
the Estate Manager.
Provide regular updates on maintenance activities and outstanding work.
3. Required Qualification & Skills
Qualification: Technical qualification / ITI or equivalent in a relevant trade preferred.
Experience: 5–8 years of hands-on, multi-skilled maintenance experience.
Strong practical knowledge of plumbing, electrical, civil, and carpentry work.
Experience in hotels, homestays, resorts, estates, or hill properties preferred.
Ability to handle routine maintenance and minor repairs independently.
Ability to coordinate and supervise external vendors and technicians.
Basic knowledge of maintenance records, materials, and local procurement.
Must have a valid driving license.
Candidates from Kodaikanal / Periyakulam preferred.

Proper upkeep of guest areas, rooms, office, bungalow, and property facilities.

Accuracy and timely maintenance of basic maintenance records and reports.
Prompt response to maintenance requirements and emergencies.
Overall reliability and condition of property infrastructure and facilities.

Willing to support maintenance requirements beyond routine duties when required.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
